5th Grade Strings is a beginner orchestra class where students learn to play the violin, viola, cello, or bass. This meets all year long on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school. If students complete the whole year successfully, they are automatically placed in an intermediate orchestra class when they go to middle school.

This year's levy to fund maintenance and operations expenditures exceeds last year's maintenance and operations tax levy.
Northside Independent School District ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR'S TAX RATE.
THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 1.05 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $30.00.
