WHAT IS AVID?
Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) is an academic elective course offered in 6th through 12th grade that prepares students for college and career readiness and success. 

AVID’s mission is to close the opportunity gap by preparing all students for college and career readiness and success in a global society.

 

WHAT DO STUDENTS DO IN AVID?

Students receive the additional academic, social, and emotional support that helps them succeed in school. AVID standards focus on the following:

Tax Rate Notice
This year's levy to fund maintenance and operations expenditures exceeds last year's maintenance and operations tax levy.
Northside Independent School District ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR'S TAX RATE.
THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 1.05 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $30.00.
