Vicki Kilpatrick - Principal
I am truly honored to serve as the Principal of McAndrew Elementary. I was born and raised here in San Antonio and am a product of Northside. I received my Bachelors Degree from St. Mary’s University and my Masters Degree from The University of Texas at San Antonio (Go Runners!). This is my 28th year in education, and my 7th year serving as Principal in Northside. I have had the privilege of teaching at different campuses all across this district but I truly believe that McAndrew is such a special campus! I strive to create a learning community where all students are learning at high levels and creating positive experiences for our students and families. Thank you for entrusting me and our staff with your child’s education.

My name is Carrie Lewis, and I am excited to serve the students, staff, families, and communities of Helotes and McAndrew Elementary as Associate Principal!

This year marks my 19th year in education and my 18th year in Northside ISD. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Music Education and my master’s degree in Educational Leadership from UTSA. I began my career in Northside as a music teacher at Steubing Elementary. In 2017, I had the honor of helping open Kallison Elementary, where I continued teaching music before transitioning into the first-grade classroom.

My administrative journey began in 2022 when I served as an Administrative Intern at Martin Elementary. In the spring of 2023, I was named Associate Principal at Blattman Elementary, where I had the privilege of serving an incredible school community. I am now excited to begin this next chapter serving the Helotes and McAndrew Elementary communities. I look forward to building relationships with our students, staff, and families and working together to create meaningful and successful experiences for every child.

Outside of school, I am a wife and proud mom of two amazing boys who also attend Northside schools.

I strongly believe that every child is unique and deserves a safe, supportive, and engaging environment where they can grow academically, socially, emotionally, and physically. I am committed to helping create school communities where every student feels valued, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential.
