Buses

NISD's mission is to provide all NISD students who are eligible to ride the bus a safe, efficient, nurturing environment that supports the educational and extra-curricular objectives of the district.

Vaccinations

Northside ISD continues to enforce its “No Shots, No School” policy. Texas law requires all public school children have current immunizations in order to attend class.

Sheila Yeager - Principal
Sheila Yeager is proud to be the Principal of the Northside Alternative Middle School. She is a product of NISD graduating from Clark High School. She received her Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Texas Wesleyan University, and her Educational Leadership from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Ms. Yeager began her teaching career at Sul Ross Middle School as a reading teacher. She eventually transitioned to Anson Jones Middle School as a Reading Coordinator, Assistant Principal, Academic Dean, as well as Associate Principal. She returned to Ross as Associate Principal before joining the Northside Alternative
Middle School.

Ms. Yeager along with her campus staff are committed to providing a safe, caring, and educational environment.
We foster an environment where all students will grow academically, socially and emotionally by providing students with experiences that enhance learning, improve behavior, self esteem, and self-awareness.

I am proud to say that my family are products of NISD schools. My wife and I are graduates Of William H. Taft Highschool. My two sons attended magnet high schools as well. I am a graduate of UTSA, and have worked in the district for over 22 years.
