About me... Prior to being the Neff principal, I was the Asst. Principal at Jones MS and the Academic Dean here at Neff. I used to teach 8th grade ELA and love reading, running and spending time with my family and friends.
I received my B.A. in Communications and a Masters in Educational Leadership from St. Mary's University. Go Rattlers!
I look forward to a great year and hope we can work together, so our students continue making great strides.

The Associate Principal also serves as the Campus Behavior Coordinator. They can be reached by email at laura-i.sanroman@nisd.net or by phone at 210-397-4115.
Welcome to Texan Country!!
I'm so happy to be a part of the Texan community as your Associate Principal.
I received my Bachelors in Interdisciplinary Studies and Masters in Reading and Literacy from UTSA. I have also gone through the Scottish Rite Program to obtain a certification as an Academic Language Therapist. I gained my admin certification through Region 20.
I began teaching in 2009 in the South San district and made my way to NISD in 2013 as a teacher here at Neff Middle School. I left in 2019 to Jones Middle School as an Assistant Principal and found myself back at Neff in 2022 as the Associate Principal.
My philosophy is that all students deserve high quality instruction and must be given an equal opportunity for it in a safe and engaging opportunity.

Welcome Texans!
I am honored to begin my 23rd year in education as our school's Academic Dean and look forward to the amazing things that we will do together as a learning community!
I have served in several capacities both in and out of the classroom which include ELAR teacher, reading specialist, AVID coordinator, head HS volleyball coach, assistant principal, and associate principal. Additionally, I am blessed to have served as the 2012 NISD Educator of the Year, the 2012 Region 20 Educator of the Year, and as a finalist for the 2013 Texas Teacher of the Year.
I love working with students, parents, and our staff and can't wait to meet you!
