Northside ISD Accepted into the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) Program

Northside ISD is thrilled to announce its official acceptance into the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) through the Texas Education Agency (TEA). TIA was created by the Texas Legislature as part of House Bill 3 to provide a pathway for top-performing teachers to earn higher salaries and help districts attract and retain highly effective teachers.

NISD teachers will now have opportunities to benefit from this state program, by helping attract and retain incredible talent. In Northside ISD, recognizing and compensating teachers is a huge part of the district's mission, vision and values.

NISD is excited to be a part of the TIA system which encourages teachers to stay in the classroom. With over 3,200 teachers eligible for TIA, 1,287 earned a designation in this first year.

TIA designates high-performing teachers as Recognized, Exemplary or Master based on appraisal and student growth data submitted by Northside ISD.

These designations bring additional funding to the district, with 90% going directly to the teacher if they stay in a TIA-eligible role.

Eligible Teachers can earn $3,000โ€“$28,000 per year through TIA.

Whatโ€™s next?

All eligible teachers will receive notification once final allotments are released by TEA in late February or early March..

This year the district is capturing data to qualify more teachers in its second batch submission in Fall 2026.
