March Madness Attendance Tournament Continues!

🏀The Final Four are here and they have a big challenge ahead!
3 out of the 4 matches during the "Elite 8" ended within a tenth of a point!!

🏆Let's see who can pull it out! Good luck to:
Ms. Palmgren's 2nd Grade
Mrs. Johnson's 4th Grade
Mr. Chesser's 5th Grade
Mrs. Foster's 5th Grade

At OHT, we're crazy for great attendance! So in March we kicked off our March Madness Attendance Tournament 🏆
🏀 Classes participated against one another to have the highest attendance percentage.
🏀 The first week was a qualifying round in which all 22 classes will participate.
🏀 The 16 classes with the highest attendance percentage earned a spot in the round robin matches.
🏀 Classes are eliminated until we reach the “final four”.
🏀 The last class standing will win a pizza party!

Will your class come out on top? Come to school each day this week to help your class earn a spot in the bracket!

Strong Father/Child Saturday

The Even Start Family Literacy Program, which is under the Whole Child Department, is hosting its annual Dad/Child event. This year it will be held on Saturday May 2nd at NAC. Open to all NISD Title 1 school dads, stepdads, grandfathers, uncles or any other male role model & all their children! Research shows that when dads engage with their children they become stronger students.

Data Verification Time!

In preparing for the 2026-27 school year, NISD needs to verify student information for all currently enrolled students by June 1, 2026 to ensure that your child has a space at their current or home campus. Eligible students, both new and returning, must register for bus transportation by June 30, 2026, to guarantee transportation services for the first day of school which will be taken care of through the data verification process.

Register today: Go to the NISD Home Access Center (HAC) website https://hac.nisd.net/

Please contact the front office if you need assistance with data verification or registering your child at 210-397-0550.
