Madeline Bueno - Principal
Welcome to our Ott Elementary website! This is my ninth year as Principal at Ott. My teaching experiences include first and third grade in Northside ISD. I am happy to say I am a former military dependent and have called San Antonio my home since my father’s retirement from the Air Force. I live in Northside and have two children who also attend school in Northside. I love this city and feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to be an educator for Northside ISD.

Thank you for actively participating in your child’s education. It is important that your child sees you proactive and involved in their education. Our teachers truly appreciate your support and look forward to working closely with you this year.

Our school theme for the 22-23 year takes us back retro style to the 80's and 90's decades. Our Ott Branding Committee developed "It's G.L.O.W. Time ~ Growing and Learning the Ott-some Way". The notion supports last year’s theme "Rooted at Ott" by ensuring all of our stakeholders are committed to refining our successes into greatness. Our Ott spirit shirts reflect this year's theme and can be purchased for $15.00 in our school office. We encourage our students and staff to wear "Motivational" shirts on Mondays, spirit shirts on Fridays and "Ott College and Career Bound - OCCB" shirts on the last Wednesday of every month.

We urge all families to join our PTA this year; membership is only $8.00. Our PTA Executive Board is an amazing group of dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly to support our students and campus.

In addition to being a Professional Learning Community, we will continue to work collaboratively with all stakeholders to ensure high levels of learning for all of our students. I look forward to this academic year and working closely in building relationships with our students and parents.

Please don’t forget to stay connected with Ott Elementary and Ott PTA by following us on these social media platforms:

Facebook @ottelementary and @OttElemPTA
Twitter @NISDott and @ott_pta
Instagram @nisd_ott and @ottelementarypta

We are using these particular social media platforms as a campus to showcase the wonderful things that occur daily at Ott. This includes teacher highlights of student learning, daily instruction, and campus activities.

Lastly, as a reminder the academic day begins promptly at 7:45 a.m. and dismissal is at 3:00 p.m. Students arriving after 7:45 a.m. will be considered tardy.

I am looking forward to an Ott-some year with our students, parents, and staff! #GLOWatOtt #NISDIgnited

Kind regards,
Principal Bueno

Howdy Trailblazers!

My name is Alyssa Delagarza, and I am the Associate Principal of Ott Elementary!

I am a proud product of NISD, having attended all Northside schools growing up here in San Antonio. I have two young children, and they plan to attend Northside schools. My educational career has been serving as a 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade teacher, all of which were in NISD.

I received my bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on math and science from Texas A&M University at College Station and a master’s degree in Education Administration from Texas A&M University at Commerce.

I entered the world of education because I truly believe that we can make a difference in the world by shaping the young minds of our students. By providing a structured, yet nurturing environment, I encourage all children to reach their maximum potential.

I am so excited to be here at Ott, and I cannot wait to see what the future has in store! Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions, suggestions or concerns.

Thanks and Gig'em,
AP Delagarza
