PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

I’m happy to share that our student attendance looked much better this week, and I appreciate your help keeping students in class and learning. Let’s keep the momentum going by ensuring students are here every day if they are able. Please also remember that picking students up early can count as a full-day absence, so if you must take your child out for an appointment, be sure to turn in the doctor’s note.

You should have also received an email from NISD regarding the new parent consent requirements for health and mental health services, as outlined by SB 12. A parent response is required to make sure we have your updated consent to provide services such as counseling and health support for your student. If you need assistance completing the form, you can contact the counseling office. Visit this link to fill out the necessary form.

Thank you for partnering with us to support both the learning and well-being of our students. I hope you have a wonderful weekend, and we look forward to seeing everyone back on Monday.

AWESOME JOB!

In our ordering real numbers unit all students scored 100% on their exit ticket!!

The Importance of Attendance

Consistent attendance is key to student success—both academically and socially. Each day in the classroom provides valuable learning opportunities and helps students strengthen important connections with teachers and peers.

If your child is unwell and needs to miss school, please send a note with them when they return. This helps us keep accurate attendance records and ensures proper documentation.

Please also keep in mind our policy on partial-day absences: for a health-related absence to be excused, your child must be present for at least part of the school day, even if they have a doctor’s appointment. Partial-day absences are recorded as full-day absences, so every moment in the classroom makes a difference!

Thank you for your continued support in helping your student attend school regularly.
