October Family Engagement Workshops

Happy Fall! October is filled with interesting and engaging parent/caregiver workshops including our Counselor's Coffee Chat on Trauma (translation devices available for those who prefer Spanish - dispositivos de traducción), Methodist Healthcare's session on Building Better Communication with our children, our Principal's Coffee Chat, and our Parent Power Night with dinner (first come, first served) and special guests from St. Mary's University and our Counseling Dept (translation devices available for those who prefer Spanish - dispositivos de traducción). We will have some fun college goody giveaways as well. 
This month we will also have a Spanish session on "The Bilingual Brain." Este mes también tendremos una sesión en español sobre "El cerebro bilingüe".

Tax Rate Notice
This year's levy to fund maintenance and operations expenditures exceeds last year's maintenance and operations tax levy.
Northside Independent School District ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR'S TAX RATE.
THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 1.05 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $30.00.
