PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Our students have been doing a great job this fall! We’re so proud of the positive energy and focus they’ve shown on campus each day. Attendance has also been off to a strong start, and we appreciate your continued support in making sure students are here and ready to learn. It truly makes a difference.
Progress reports will soon be available through the Home Access Center (HAC). Please take a moment to check in on your student’s progress and reach out to their teachers if you have any questions. Working together helps ensure that every student gets the support they need to be successful.
A couple of reminders:
- Daylight Savings Time ends this Sunday. Don’t forget to roll your clocks back an hour and enjoy the extra sleep!
- Tuesday, November 4 is a student holiday, so there will be no school that day.
Finally, we hope everyone enjoys a safe and fun Halloween weekend! Please remember that candy should not be brought to school on Monday.
We look forward to seeing everyone back, ready for another great week at Rayburn.
Family Engagement November Calendar of Events
Join us in November for some great Coffee Chats including topics on Women's Health and a great session from our friends at SORIAN Credit Union. We can't wait to see you!
Rayburn Spirit Explosion!
Get ready for our Rayburn Spirit Explosion, running November 3rd–November 7th! Each day, students can join in the fun by dressing up and showing their school spirit:
Monday – “What Do You Meme?”: Dress like your favorite (school-appropriate) meme!
Wednesday – “Seeing Double Wednesday”: Twin with a friend—or even a teacher!
Thursday – “Raider Pride Thursday”: Show your Rayburn pride by wearing your school colors or spirit gear.
Friday – “Dress Like Your Favorite Decade”: Travel back in time and rock your favorite decade’s style!
We’ll wrap up the week with our first dance of the year on Friday, November 7th!
To attend, students must not have any office referrals from October 31–November 7 and must turn in a signed permission slip.
🕓 Dance Times:
6th Grade: 4:15–5:30 PM (pick up by 5:35 PM)
7th & 8th Grade: 5:45–7:00 PM (pick up by 7:05 PM)
Please note: 7th and 8th graders are not allowed to remain on campus to wait between dismissal and their dance start time.
Let’s make it a week full of fun, pride, and positive energy—Go Raiders!
Attendance Matters
Thank you for your ongoing support in your child's education. I want to emphasize the importance of our partnership in ensuring consistent attendance, as it plays a crucial role in your child's success.
If your child is absent, please be sure to send a note when they return to school. This helps us keep accurate records and ensures that they stay on track with their learning.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. Together, we can make a positive impact on your child's educational journey.
