PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

STAAR testing began earlier this week, and our students kicked things off with the Reading assessment. I want to commend them for the focus and effort they showed throughout the day. We also had strong attendance, which plays a big role in creating a smooth and successful testing environment. Thank you for your support.

As we look ahead, our 8th grade students will take their Science and Social Studies STAAR assessments this Monday and Tuesday. Please help us set them up for success by ensuring they arrive to school on time and ready to begin testing promptly at 8:40 a.m.

We also ask that, if at all possible, students not be picked up during the school day on testing days. Early pickups can disrupt the testing environment and may cause students to feel rushed as they work to complete their assessments.

We are looking forward to another strong round of testing next week as we continue moving toward the end of the school year. Thank you again for your continued partnership and support.

Have a great weekend, and Happy Fiesta!

We love our community partners!

The NISD Community Partners Awards Ceremony was held on April 15, 2026 for partners who go above and beyond for schools all over the district. Mr. Masters and Mrs. Diaz enjoyed attending and recognizing Rayburn's two nominees for the 25-26 school year.

Rayburn honors John's Kids for their endless support and love of our school for over 30 years! This school year they provided an abundant amount of school supplies to last all year long, supported our Back to School Bash, provided Holiday PB&J/Bread for 100 families, donated Let's Rodeo Cowboy Breakfast for teachers/staff, and to end the year, they are donating bikes and helmets for six lucky students as attendance incentives. We are so fortunate to have John's Kids as part of the Rayburn family!

We also honor Mighty Fortress Church who sponsored 60 kids with PE uniforms and supported our Back to School Bash, provided a Back to School Teacher Breakfast, provided Thanksgiving meals to families, and adopted families for Christmas. They are also a part of our SAT/PFEC Committee. Although they are new friends of the last three years, it feels like they've been here for us forever. We are so glad they are a part of our Rayburn family!
