About

I am truly honored to serve as the Principal of Evelyn Scarborough Elementary School. My roots in Northside ISD run deep. I was fortunate to help open Aue Elementary as a fifth-grade teacher, later serving as Associate Principal, and most recently as Principal for the past nine years. I am excited to begin this new chapter and serve the students, staff, families, and community of Scarborough.

Before joining Northside, I served as Director of the Children's Enrichment Center in San Antonio. Prior to that, I spent several years as a classroom teacher and math facilitator in Montgomery County, Maryland. For more than twenty years, I have been passionate about education and committed to helping students and educators reach their fullest potential.

I earned my Master's degree in Elementary Education from American University in Washington, D.C., and later completed a second Master's degree in Educational Leadership from The University of Texas at San Antonio.

School leadership is both my profession and my passion. As I begin my tenth year as a school administrator, I remain inspired by the opportunity to help students thrive, support teachers in their important work, and foster a culture of excellence. I am grateful to lead alongside the talented educators of Scarborough, whose dedication and commitment to children will continue to inspire me every day.

I firmly believe that strong relationships are the foundation of a successful school community. Families, staff, and community partners each play a vital role in ensuring our students' academic, social, and emotional growth. By working together, we can create a supportive and enriching environment where every child feels valued, challenged, and empowered to succeed.

I look forward to the year ahead and to partnering with you as we continue to transform learning experiences and inspire every Husky to lead by example.
