Understandings | Students focus on studio routines, materials/safety, elements of art and principles of design, and pre-assessments. Develop a physical or electronic portfolio by evaluating and analyzing personal original artwork to provide evidence of learning. Understand and demonstrate proper exhibition etiquette. Use an understanding of copyright and public domain to appropriate imagery when working from sources. | The student develops and expands visual literacy skills using critical thinking, imagination, and the senses to identify and illustrate ideas from the world of drawing and drawing techniques.
