Unit: 3 -Academic and Technical Skills in Automotive Paint and Refinishing (2.5 Weeks) -Technical writing for work orders - service and repair information, technical bulletins, specifications, schematics, and parts catalogs - new and emerging paint and refinishing technologies

the cause of paint and refinishing defects
-apply decals, transfers, tapes, woodgrains, and pinstripes such as painted and taped;
-sand, buff, and polish fresh or existing finish to remove defects as required;
-clean vehicle interior, exterior, and glass;
-clean body openings such as door jambs and edges;
-remove overspray; and - complete quality control using a checklist.
