-Parallel vs Series

-using a Multimeter

Unit 11:  Project Planning Framing Systems (2 Weeks)

- identifying resources and materials and time-management, labor/job-management, and job-site obligations

- estimating correct amounts of required resources/materials 

- estimate the amount of materials needed to frame a floor, frame, walls and ceilings

- execute, monitor, and control a project using available resources and materials effectively

- evaluating waste of resources and materials

Unit 12: Framing Systems (3 Weeks)

FLOOR

- different types of framing systems

- floor system requirements

- methods used to fasten sills to the foundation

- the proper girder or beam size

- different types of flooring materials

- purposes of subflooring and underlayment

- fasteners to be used in various floor framing systems

- install bridging, joists for a cantilever-floor, subfloor using butt-joint plywood, single floor system using (T&G) plywood or (OSB) panels

 

WALLS & CEILINGS

-components of a wall and ceiling layout

- for laying out a wood frame wall, including the installation of plates, corner posts, door and window openings, partition Ts, bracings, and firestops

- correct procedure for assembling and erecting an exterior wall

common materials and methods used for installing sheathing on walls

Unit 13:  Evaluation of Project and Project Reports for Framing Systems (1 Weeks)

Unit 18:  Team Blueprint Build of Small Shed (4 Weeks)

-Full set of build plans with Electrical, Framing and Concrete with Built Environment.

Unit 19:  Evaluation of Project and Project Reports for Team Build Blue Prints (1 Week)
