INTRODUCTION

Unit 1: (1 week) 

-Introduction and classroom policies, procedures, and expectations

 

SAFETY 

Unit 2:  (3 weeks)

-Safety in the lab

-General safety test

-Recognizing and preventing hazards in the lab and the field.

-Identify accident causes and costs

-Identify hazard types: -environmental, cutting, confined spaces, electrical, fire, etc.

UNIT 3:

(hammer, saws, speed square, driver types, screws, nail types and sizes)

-Cordless drill-drill bits, countersink bits, Torx bits and screws

MEASUREMENT

Unit 2: (3 weeks)

-Understanding and applying basic construction math and measurement. -applying geometric   principles

-Use a standard ruler, a metric ruler, a measuring tape, and an architectural /engineering scale to measure.
