*Research various classroom management strategies and consider implementing  conflict management and mediation techniques supportive of an effective learning environment. 

 

*Internship Begins Week 5-6

*Explore human development theories that impact instructional planning such as, Understanding by Design, Active Learning, use of technology in the classroom 

*Create and execute a lesson plan that meets instructional goals and aligns with the TEKS to include accommodations for special populations such as; ESL, bilingual,  GT , At-Risk and special-needs. 

*Analyze effectiveness of delivery of lesson, self reflection report, feedback from cooperating teacher, and adjustments to made

*Create a variety of effective student assessments aligned with instructional TEKS and foster student learning

 

*Use assessment strategies to promote personal growth and teaching or training improvement. 

 

*Explore the methods of data collection from student assessments.

 

*Explore current political, societal, economic trends, and issues that impact education, focusing on educational needs of today.

*Self-evaluate personal qualities of employability strengths and weaknesses in technical skill proficiency

 

*Prepare for future employment by investigating various certification and licensure credential requirements related to education and training per state and grade level.  

 

*Self-assess employability skills and desires in the areas of traditional education and non-traditional education. 

*Develop professional portfolio; resume, lesson plans, philosophy, and other  required projects to present to interested stakeholders
