-Explain the importance of safety while driving on an alignment rack. 

 

-Explain proper alignment setup procedures.

-Demonstrate how to properly use multimeter settings.  

 

-Test alternator output, starter current draw and lighting circuits.

 

Unit 13 --Electrical Systems Repairing and servicing

-Explain the importance of safety with electricity. 

 

-Check parasitic battery load. 

 

-Service a battery. 

 

-Inspect and test a battery. 

 

-Inspect service wiring and wiring connectors. 

 

-Repair an open circuit, a blown fuse, and burned or corroded terminals. Show proper use of wire strippers. 

 

-Solder wires to create a parallel and series circuit. 

 

-Test wire resistance.

Unit 14 โ€“ AC Systems Fundamentals

-Explain the harmful effect of air conditioning refrigerants on the environment.

 

-Diagnose air conditioning system. 

 

-Show proper use of the refrigerant recovery unit.

 

-Evacuate and recharge A/C system. 

 

-Manage and maintain refrigerant handling systems. 

 

-Diagnose heating and air conditioning controls.

 

Unit 14 โ€“ AC System Inspections and Servicing

-A/C Cont.

-Test A/C compressor pressure and compressor coil circuit

 

-Inspect cooling fans for proper operation. 

 

-Inspect HVAC plenum doors for proper operation. 

 

-Explain types of refrigerant leak detectors, dyes. 

 

-Show common pressure gauge readings.

 

Unit 15 โ€“ Housekeeping, Inspections and Inventory 

-Show proper storage of equipment. 

 

-Inspect equipment for proper working order. 

 

-Explain proper storage of chemicals in safety fire cabinets. 

 

-Test and lubricate all automotive lifts and equipment. 

-Demonstrate proper use of floor cleaning chemicals.  

 

-Inspect safety glasses sanitizing the cabinet. 

 

-Demonstrate proper storage of safety glasses.
