Credit Retrieval Summer Programs
The summer Credit Retrieval (CR) program allows qualifying high school students the opportunity to retrieve or earn back credit in classes they have failed or lost credit for during the school year. Students who complete all coursework assigned and demonstrate mastery in the subject will be awarded a grade of 70 for the course completed.
Program Location: In-person at John Jay HS
Dates: Monday-Thursday, June 1 - June 30, 2026 (or until student has completed credits)
Time: 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m
- No Cost to participate | Students are expected to attend daily and may only have 3 absences
- Free Breakfast and Lunch on campus | School dress code & Cell Phone policy remains in effect
- Bus Transportation to the nearest Elementary or Middle School available

EOC Accelerated Instruction Summer Program
Summer Accelerated Instruction (AI) is a teacher-led remediation course designed to strengthen skills and knowledge of students who have not yet passed and will be retaking the EOC STAAR exams. The accelerated curriculum is based on individual student prior performance on the EOC test disaggregated by performance standards.
Program Location: In-person at John Jay HS
Dates: Monday-Thursday, June 1 - June 18, 2026
Time: 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m
Testing week: June 22-25, 2026
- No Cost to participate | Students are expected to attend daily and may only have 3 absences
- Free Breakfast and Lunch on campus | School dress code & Cell Phone policy remains in effect
- Bus Transportation to the nearest Elementary or Middle School available
