Stevenson Middle School Clubs and Organizations

ALPHA This is for gifted and talented students to meet and interact with other like-minded students and help with school work. Sponsor(s): Anita Contreras/Ashley Clary-Carpenter

ASL Club ASL Club is Stevenson’s Sign Language Club. You will be learning the American Sign Language alphabet, as well as phrases that will enable you to communicate with the deaf. If you already know sign, you can interact with other students who are learning and improve your skills. Sponsor(s): Gabriela Wolfenberger

Bible Study Food, fellowship, and study of Scripture with life application discussion. Sponsor: Gail Hall

Cookies and Milk Book Club Let’s talk about books. All grade levels welcome. Sponsor(s): Andria Amodt Ho

Crochet Club Crochet Club is open to all students from beginner to experienced. We provide yarn and common sizes of crochet hooks, but students working on large or specialty projects will want to bring their own materials. Sponsor: Andria Amodt Ho

Current Events Club The current events club is open to 7th and 8th graders. Students will work to bring the school together and to invite all students to care about world events. The club incorporates ideas and campaigns from dosomething.org in order to improve the school and community. Sponsor: Ashley Clary-Carpenter

Happy Hearts/Healthy Minds Students will enjoy activities that help cultivate happy hearts and healthy minds. They will have the opportunity to practice mindfulness activities and participate in activities that promote kindness, healthy friendships, and self-care. Sponsors: Johanna Davenport & Linda Suttner

Maker Mondays Maker Mondays is all about the DIY (do it yourself) mentality. Come build skills with coding, 3D design/printing, electronics, robotics, fiber arts (think crocheting, knitting, and sewing), building with Legos, and so much more. Sponsor: Andria Amodt Ho

Nature Club Students will investigate and identify native and nonnative plant and animal species on the Stevenson campus. Sponsor: Carrie Ramirez

Spanish Club In the Spanish Club, students will have the chance to work on arts and crafts and some cooking from Spanish speaking countries. Students will also complete a few short projects. Sponsor(s): Gilma Orozco, Irene Astwood

Stevenson Social League To provide students with a positive monitored environment where they will have the opportunity to engage in socialization through discussions, games, and activities. The goal being that the students will improve their social skills through authentic interactions and develop meaningful relationships with their peers. Sponsors(s): J. Student Council Student Council is open to all grade levels. Student Council helps develop and promote leadership abilities by building partnerships between the school and community. Sponsor(s): Hallie Gelabert and Hollis Horton

National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) Students are inducted into NJHS in seventh or eighth grade based on grades and citizenship. Sponsor(s): Janalle Koenigs and Jodi Ramos
