My name is Rene Esquivel. It is my privilege and honor to serve as the Principal of Tomlinson Elementary. Here at Tomlinson Elementary, we strive for excellence through a nurturing, innovative environment with high expectations.
I come to Tomlinson Elementary with 13 years of experience in education, serving in various capacities that have shaped my approach to leadership and learning. Throughout my career, I have been driven by a deep commitment to student success, holistic development, and fostering a culture of inclusivity and academic excellence. I approach every day with a 'Whatever It Takes' attitude.
I look forward to cultivating strong partnerships so that we can live out our mission and provide our students a great educational experience.

My name is Hannah Jackson and I am thrilled to be a Tomlinson Trailblazer and honored to serve as your Associate Principal! I had the opportunity of helping open Tomlinson in 2021 as a teacher and am blessed to now serve in a different capacity.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from UTSA and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from UTA.
I was born in the Philippines at Clark AFB, but have lived in San Antonio since 1987 and consider this my home. I transitioned to the education field after 11 years of working in a financial institution as an Operations Supervisor. This is my 9th year in this great District. Prior to joining the Tomlinson community, I taught for 6 years at Timberwilde Elementary teaching 1st and 4th grade. In addition, I have been a substitute for NISD in various grade levels. I have thoroughly enjoyed all of my experiences.
My favorite thing to do is to build relationships with our students, families, and our staff. I love to make learning fun, exciting, enjoyable, and I like to laugh. I have high expectations for everyone including myself in providing high levels of learning for all of our students in order for them to become independent, successful learners. I look forward to building relationships and partnering together to make this school year one to remember!
