Wernli Principal Lori Shaw
Lori Shaw - Principal
Texas A&M is where I earned my undergraduate degree in interdisciplinary studies with an emphasis in early childhood education. Whoop!!! my master's degree in educational leadership is from UTSA. This year I will begin my 27th year in Northside. My teaching career began at Evers Elementary as a second grade teacher. I also taught 3rd grade at both Evers and Hatchett Elementary. Oak hills Terrace is where I served as a vice principal for 3 years. Michael & Carson Elementary schools were my homes for 6 years while serving as the principal. It is my pleasure and honor to be serving you as the principal at Wernli Elementary!

I am thrilled to be a Wernli Wildcat and serve as your Vice Principal. This year will be my 16th year in education. I earned my undergraduate degree in Human Development and Family Studies at University of Missouri-Columbia and then received my teacher’s certification from University of Missouri-St. Louis. While teaching elementary school in St. Louis, I earned a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction and also a master’s degree in Educational Administration. My husband and I moved to San Antonio in 2012, where I began teaching at Blattman Elementary. I have had the joy and pleasure of teaching 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students. I believe we will do incredible things together at Wernli Elementary!
