Tom Knapp is the principal of Westwood Terrace Elementary School. He has been
an educator for 27 years and has been serving the students and families
of Northside Independent School District for the last 20 years.

โ€œAs a child growing up in a family of teachers, I knew that working in education was my passion. I value the importance of early literacy and strive to make a difference by helping to educate tomorrowโ€™s decision makers. The key to our success is to develop meaningful relationships with students and families and to provide the necessary support for the most important adults on our campus โ€“ the classroom teachers.โ€

He is the proud father of two daughters, Monet and Brooke and a dedicated husband to his wife, Misty, of 12 years.
