Welcome, My name is Tom Knapp and I am
the proud principal of Westwood Terrace Elementary School. I have been
an educator for 25 years and have been serving the students and families
of Northside Independent School District for the last 16 years. Prior to
Westwood Terrace, I served as the Principal at Fisher Elementary and I also held
the position of Vice Principal of Knowlton and Cable Elementary Schools.
The Westwood Terrace Elementary goals will be to provide students with the finest
academic instruction, and to help students become responsible, caring,
trustworthy, and well educated individuals. We believe in the academic
potential of every student and will strive to make them college ready.
I believe that an established partnership between students, parents, staff,
and community will help give the Westwood Terrace Broncos the best
possible education.

Sandra Estrada is the Vice Principal at Westwood Terrace. She received her Bachelor's and Master's degree from the University of Texas at El Paso and her Certification in Administration from the University of Texas at San Antonio.Mrs. Estrada is certified in Elementary Self-Contained Grades (1-6), Elementary Early Childhood Education Grades (PK-6), Bilingual/ESL Grades (PK-6) and Principal Grades (EC-12).
Mrs. Estrada has 31 years of experience in education. She began her career as a classroom teacher with the Ysleta ISD in El Paso, Texas teaching Pre-K through 2nd grade. She has spent the last 18 years with Northside ISD as a classroom teacher, academic support teacher and Vice Principal.
In her spare time, Mrs. Estrada and her husband, spend time with their three granddaughters.
