Please review the essential information below regarding our upcoming commencement activities.
Senior Graduation Panoramic Picture
- When: Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. (updated time). Students will report to their 1st- and 2nd-period classes. Students will be released after their 2nd-period teacher checks attendance.
- Where: Brennan Main Competition Gym
- Attire: Gown, campus/organization-issued cords and stoles; your cap will not be worn for the senior panoramic picture.
Mandatory Graduation Rehearsal
- When: Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at 2:00 p.m.
- Where: Brennan Cafeteria
- Requirements: Attendance is mandatory for all seniors participating in the ceremony.
- Attire: Normal school clothes. You do not need your cap, gown, cords, or stoles for rehearsal.
Graduation Ceremony Details
- When: Thursday, May 28, 2026, at 7:00 p.m.
- Where: The Alamodome
- Arrival: Seniors must report by 5:30 p.m. sharp for check-in and final instructions. Graduating seniors will use the loading dock entrance by the blue guard shack in parking lot A. Access is via the northbound access road. There is no student drop off in Lot A; lots B & C are for ceremony students (seniors) and attendee parking.
Logistics & Security
- Parking: $15 (Credit card preferred).
- Lots B & C: General parking for ceremony students and attendee parking.
- Lot A: Reserved for handicapped parking only. Note: No student drop-offs allowed in Lot A.
- Clear Bag Policy: The Alamodome strictly enforces a clear bag policy.
- Prohibited Items & Grounds for Immediate Removal:
- No helium balloons, wrapped gifts, and glass containers/vases.
- No noisemakers (airhorns, cowbells, etc), weapons, and selfie sticks.
- No signs on sticks; no "big head" signs larger than 8.5" x 11".
- No outside food and beverages, cameras with professional lenses longer than 3โ, GoPros, video recorders and monopods/tripods.
- No signs or flags larger than 3โx2โ.
- No reserving or saving of multiple seats or rows.
- No standing or sitting in the aisles or walkways.
- No unsupervised children.
- Note: Flowers are permitted only if wrapped in paper. Flowers and gifts will be sold at the Alamodome in several areas.
Dress Code & Etiquette
Graduation is a formal and dignified event. Please adhere to the following:
- Recommended Attire: Young men: Dark slacks, dark shoes, and a light-colored shirt with a tie. Young ladies-appropriate dress/pantsuit and dress shoes.
- Prohibited Clothing: Tennis shoes, sandals, or shorts.
- Approved Regalia: Only school-provided academic stoles/cords, school-sponsored club cords, and military stoles are permitted. Personal stoles or braided leis are not allowed and will be confiscated.
- Conduct: We ask the audience to respect all speakers by listening quietly.
- While on stage, students must keep their hands at their sides. Any student who raises their hands above their waist or acts inappropriately per Northside ISD Standards, may be removed from the ceremony.
Important Academic Deadlines
- Eligibility: Seniors must meet all TEA requirements and pass all state exams to participate.
- Notification: Counselors will notify any students who have not met requirements by noon on Friday, May 22, 2026.
Photography
- Professional Portraits: A photographer will capture each student receiving their diploma. Ordering info will be provided at rehearsal.
- Guest Photos: Guests must remain in the stands. No floor access is permitted for photography.
Diploma Pick-up (Non-Participants)
Seniors not walking in the ceremony may pick up their diplomas at the Principalโs office starting Monday, June 1, 2026.
- Hours:
- June 1, 2026 - July 24, 2026: Monday - Thursday from 8:30 a.m. โ 12:30 p.m. or 1:30 p.m. โ 5:30 p.m. (Closed Fridays).
- June 15-19, 2026 and June 29 - July 3, 2026: Monday - Thursday from 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. or 1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. (Closed Fridays).
- Requirement: You must bring an official photo ID. Diplomas cannot be mailed and must be picked up by the graduating senior.
