Erica Robles is looking forward to an incredible school year! She is passionate about helping Connally students reach their full potential as lifelong learners and responsible citizens.
Mrs. Robles began working for Northside ISD in 2006. She taught for 11 years in NISD and SAISD. She moved into administration in 2016 with NISD and worked in several middle schools as well as the Reddix Center before joining the Connally team.
Erica grew up here in San Antonio and attended Northside schools where her love of learning began. She attended UTSA for undergraduate studies in Multiple Disciplinary Sciences and earned teacher certification in 4-8 Science. She earned her master’s degree in Educational Leadership and principal certification from Lamar University.
Aside from being an associate principal and teacher, Mrs. Robles loves watching sports with her 3 boys and enjoying the great outdoors. She values collaboration and is excited to partner with the Connally staff, students and community this school year to accomplish great things for our Coyotes!

Marie ZavalaAcademic DeanGreetings, Connally Family! My name is Marie Zavala, and I am absolutely thrilled to be your Academic Dean. My mission is simple: to support you, champion our students, and ensure our classrooms are filled with meaningful learning. We have a powerful legacy of academic excellence here, and I am ready to do whatever it takes alongside you to reach every learner.
This role is incredibly special to me because my education career actually came full circle—I started right here at Connally 21 years ago as a student teacher! Since then, I’ve had the privilege of growing within Northside ISD. I helped open Luna MS, and taught Reading/ELA at Hobby MS (where I also served as Department Coordinator). For a decade, I dedicated my summers to leadership, working as a summer school Teacher, Liaison, Intern, AP, VP, and Principal. My administrative path officially kicked off at Zachry MS in 2014, followed by serving as the AP at Hobby MS since 2015.
Outside of school, I’m married to my high school sweetheart, Juaquin, and we have two fantastic sons. We also share our home with two Dachshunds.
