I am so proud to be the Principal of Fernandez Elementary, where every child counts!
I have over 19 years experience in the world of education, having taught elementary and middle school both in the United States and Australia. During that time, I have worked in a variety of Title I and non-Title schools, along with diverse urban and rural communities. Every experience working with students and the community has been a positive one that made me the leader and educator I am today.
My goal, along with our fantastic staff is to educate your child not just in academics but also socially and emotionally. We strive daily to provide instruction that creates high levels of learning and to create learners that ask questions and become critical, creative thinkers in our ever changing world.
I truly believe education is a TEAM effort and I am so honored to be partnering with you in the education of your child.
I am so proud to be working with the Fernandez staff, parents, students and community. My door is always open if you need to contact me. I am also available to be contacted via email or a phone call.

I am a proud UTSA Roadrunner! After earning my Bachelor’s degree from UTSA, I decided to continue my educational journey back at UTSA to earn my Masters in Educational Leadership.
Education is my passion and I have had the privilege to work with elementary and middle school students for the past 12 years. My experiences as an educator have greatly influenced my personal and professional growth as a leader, where I now have the opportunity to support students and teachers.
My belief is that every student deserves to have the best educational experience in every classroom, every day! I look forward to working with our faculty and staff to serve our Fernandez students, parents, and community.
