About the Librarian

Mrs. Moriarty has worked in education since 2007. During her time as a classroom teacher, she taught kindergarten, third grade, fourth grade, fifth grade, and sixth grade. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in 2006, and a Master's Degree in 2011, both from UTSA.

In 2023, she returned to school at Sam Houston State University to pursue library certification. She began her new chapter as a librarian in August of 2024. Her goal is to inspire a love of reading and learning in students.

Outside of school, she is a mom to 3 boys and a very spoiled dog. Mrs. Moriarty enjoys reading, taking walks, and sipping a Diet Dr. Pepper.
