Galm Elementary will continuously ignite a passion for learning through collaborative, engaging, and meaningful experiences that create lifelong learners.
This is my 6th year as a Northside administrator and my 2nd year as the principal of Galm. I am fortunate to say I am a Northside product, graduating from Oliver Wendell Holmes. GO HUSKIES! I started my teaching career with Region 20 and eventually joined the Northside team. I have been fortunate to teach PreK, 1st, 4th, and also work as a Campus Intervention Specialist before I became an Administrator Intern.
Here at Galm we carry the banner of putting students first, high levels of learning, and working together as a Professional Learning Community. Our teachers have a passion for children and are dedicated to student learning. We want to thank everyone for their support and please know that our doors are always open. GO DOLPHINS!
The Vice-Principal also serves as the Campus Behavior Coordinator.Greetings Galm community!
My name is Frank Johnson, and I am the proud Vice Principal of Galm Elementary. I have been Galm’s Vice Principal since 2018, and serving this community has been one of the great joys of my life.
Education is a second career for me. I was an Active Duty Army medic for eight years when I realized I wanted to become a teacher. The military brought me to Texas, and I began my career in education as a Special Education teacher in Northside ISD. Since then, I have had the opportunity to work as a 4th grade teacher and a behavior coach. After earning my administrator’s certificate, I also worked at our district’s central office in the Curriculum and Instruction department. I was then appointed as the Vice Principal of Valley Hi Elementary School. After returning from an overseas deployment with the Texas Army National Guard, I was appointed as the Vice Principal of Galm Elementary School.
I believe in the power of education. I also believe that all students can achieve greatness when provided the love, encouragement, and the tools they need to succeed. Serving this community has been a great experience because of the families and staff who work together on behalf of our incredible students. Our goal at Galm is to ensure every child reaches their goals and full potential. By working with our campus community, we will continue to make this goal a reality.
