Vision Statement: Garcia Middle School will educate and empower lifelong learners who are responsible, contributing citizens in a diverse, evolving world.

I was "born and raised" in Northside. I attended Northwest Crossing Elementary, Stevenson Middle School and graduated from Taft High School. I graduated from Texas State University (eat em up cats!) with a Bachelor's Degree in Education, and a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction.
After many years in Austin, I returned back home to San Antonio to open Luna Middle School in 2004, and worked at many NISD campuses along the way to Garcia. I have worked as a Science Department Coordinator, Assistant Principal, and an Academic Dean. All this while completing a Ph.D in Leadership Studies from Our Lady of the Lake University (whew).
I have taught every grade level from Kinder to Graduate School courses (fun fact). I enjoy playing basketball, listening to live music, attending City events, advocating for education, and being active in City government. I love to read, play video games, and yes; even collect sneakers! I have a very supportive wife, and three wonderful children of my own (2 daughters and 1 son) who range in age from 3 to 12 years old.
Professionally, I pride myself on being personable, understanding, and here for my community. I want everyone to feel welcome as they step on our campus and hold the highest standards for myself, my staff, and my students and families. I look forward to taking Garcia to higher levels of leadership and achievement!!!!
