Health Careers High School Academic Decathlon
What is Academic Decathlon?
A full-year honors course centered around a very prestigious academic competition that will provide scholarship opportunities, speech credit, and college-level curriculum.

What will students do in the class?
The curriculum is centered around a different theme/ topic each year. Every student competes in 10 events - Math, Science, Social Science, Literature, Music, Art, Economics, Speech, Interview and Essay.
We will prepare for scrimmages and Regional competition - which requires students to read the materials and take quizzes in class. We will get the materials before the end of the school year, in May, and will have optional meetings during the summer.
We will meet on Saturday mornings in the fall to practice and our scrimmages will also be on Saturdays.
