Candace Maldonado - Principal
Hello Longhorn families! My name is Candace Maldonado, and I am honored to serve as the Principal for Dolores B. Linton Elementary School.

I began my career in Northside ISD as a teacher at Adams Hill Elementary. My path then led me to Valley Hi Elementary where I taught and later became an Academic Specialist. After that I served as the Associate Principal for Cable Elementary and Valley Hi Elementary. Most recently, prior to joining the Linton team, I served as Principal for Meadow Village Elementary.

I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to lead this amazing staff, and I am so proud to be a part of such a wonderful community.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family. We love to camp and explore the great outdoors! I am married to my high school sweetheart, and we have two boys. We also have three dogs and a cat-who love going on adventures with us.

I am looking forward to working with the Linton students, staff, families, and community. Please feel free to contact me if you ever have concerns, questions, or suggestions-my door is always open!

GO LONGHORNS!

Hello Linton Longhorns! I am proud to serve as the new Associate Principal of Linton Elementary. I am committed to working with students, teachers and parents to develop and implement initiatives that promote the growth and development of every student.

After obtaining a bachelor's degree at the University of the Incarnate Word, I began my career with Northside at McDermott Elementary where I taught 3rd, 4th, 5th, and special education. More recently, I worked at Howsman Elementary where I taught both BMC and 3rd grade

In addition to my experience, I am currently pursuing a doctorate degree in Educational Leadership at UTSA. This opportunity has allowed me to deepen my knowledge and understanding of educational leadership and best practices.

I am excited to work alongside our dedicated faculty and staff to continue the tradition of excellence that Linton Elementary is known for. Together, we will provide a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment where all students can thrive and reach their full potential. I look forward to getting to know each and every one of you and building a strong relationship within the school community. My door is always open, and I encourage you to reach out to me with questions or concerns.
