In Cardboard Arcade students will learn about the engineering process as they build arcade-like games using cardboard boxes and other recycled materials. Cardboard Arcade is inspired by 9 year old Caine Monroy who built an entire arcade using cardboard boxes. This club is designed for 2nd grade.
In Coding Club students learn the basics of programming a computer.
What is coding? Coding is the process of using a programming language to get a computer to behave the way you want it to. Every line of code tells the computer to do something. This Club is designed for grades 3-5.
Mondays and Wednesdays until 4:15pm
Taught by our elementary music specialist, this program teaches 5th-grade students to play an instrument.
Strings is a group class for 5th graders who are interested in learning to play the Violin, Viola, or Cello.
Lessons are free, but an instrument and book will need to be acquired.
The group also participates in performances. It meets two days a week throughout the year and sign-up happens every September.
