Longhorn Lowdown Morning Announcements Crew

Meets: M, W, F 7:15-7:40 AM

Grades:  5th Grade

Students record and assist the sponsor in producing the daily morning announcements.  All members rotate through the rolls of anchor, camera crew, writing scripts, selecting backgrounds, conducting interviews, and more.  Tryouts are held the last two months of 4th grade and an additional tryout is available for new incoming 5th graders at the beginning of the year.

This year's levy to fund maintenance and operations expenditures exceeds last year's maintenance and operations tax levy.
Northside Independent School District ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR'S TAX RATE.
THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 1.05 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $30.00.
