Project ACORN Garden Club

3:15-4:15 PM Scheduled Wednesdays

Grades:  3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade

Students will learn various gardening lessons about planting, pollinators, birding, composting, harvesting, cooking, and much more.  They will also spend time each club meeting watering, weeding, harvesting, etc. in the garden.  There will be scheduled garden work days one Saturday each semester, a Saturday morning field trip, and we will participate in a showcase at O’Connor high school in May.

This year's levy to fund maintenance and operations expenditures exceeds last year's maintenance and operations tax levy.
Northside Independent School District ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR'S TAX RATE.
THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 1.05 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $30.00.
