Solar Cars

Meets:  

If your child enjoys building things, figuring out how something works and likes working with their hands, then Solar Cars is the club for them.  In this club students will build a solar-powered car from scratch and race their car with teams from other NISD elementary schools at the Annual NISD Solar Car Races.  Only 12 students can be a part of Solar Cars, so a drawing is held to determine who will participate. This club is for fourth and fifth grade students. The tuition for this club is $35.00.

This year's levy to fund maintenance and operations expenditures exceeds last year's maintenance and operations tax levy.
Northside Independent School District ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR'S TAX RATE.
THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 1.05 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $30.00.
