Mead Counseling Department Information
The Northside Independent School District Guidance and Counseling Department will provide a comprehensive developmental school counseling program that is implemented by Certified School Counselors, at the campus level, PK - 12.
Northside uses as itโs framework the Texas Model for Comprehensive School Counseling Programs 5th edition (TEC ยง33.003 - 33.007) The school counselor responsibilities/roles described in The Texas Model addresses the whole child to maximize academic achievement, social and emotional development, and post-secondary college and career readiness.

Rhiannon Drumm - Campus Military Liaison
I have been a Certified School Counselor for 20 years. I've worked at Hatchett/Ott Elementary for 1 year, spent 3 years as a High School Counselor in Seguin, Texas, was a Lead Counselor at John Jay Science and Engineering Academy for 5 years, a Middle School Counselor at Hobby Middle School for 6 years, and this is my 5th year at Mead. Prior to becoming a Certified School Counselor, I was a high school Math Teacher, Cheerleader Director, and Pep Squad Director at Stevens HS and Taft HS. I received my Bachelors of Science in Mathematics from UTSA and my Masters of Science in Guidance and Counseling from Texas A&M Kingsville. I am the Military Liaison for Mead Elementary, helping students transition to our school. I look forward to working with you all this school year.
