STEM Education in Northside ISD

Northside ISD’s STEM Education program provides students with hands-on, real-world learning experiences that integrate science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Through inquiry-based instruction, problem solving, and design thinking, students develop critical thinking and collaboration skills that prepare them for future academic and career success.

At the elementary level, each campus has a dedicated STEM lab where students participate in activities and design challenges that spark curiosity and creativity using knowledge from classroom instruction and tied to a variety of STEM careers.

What is STEM?
Stem education is a method of hands-on teaching and learning where students learn to apply academic content by creatively solving real-world problems  with innovative design-based thinking to prepare students for future career opportunities. 

In STEM, students work on teamwork, learning to share ideas and cooperate.
