4th & 5th grade Team Leaders & Mrs. Guerra
The Anchored 4Life Club is student led, and military funded to help support all students going through life transitions such as being a new student at school or handling emotions when a parent is deployed. This club helps to make connections between students, develops leadership skills, and helps children build self- confidence during times of transition. Service projects, activity kits to use as a family at home, school tours, and character development quotes are features of this club implemented by our Anchored 4Life student leaders.
4th & 5th grade Team Leaders meet twice a month to discuss club features and plan military events on campus with the club adviser, Ms. Guerra.

Wednesdays 3-4 pm
I was awarded a grant from the city of San Antonio called Eco Scholars last year. I was awarded the grant to do a few things, one was to purchase some eco-friendly recycling bins, which I did last year and they came in over the Summer.
The second part was to start a club that uses trash to make art. We call it "Trash Art Club". It is made up of almost 30 students, mostly from 2nd and 3rd grade. We do have three 4th and 5th graders that help mentor our young artists. We are focusing our projects on plastics, since they are so terrible for the earth. We meet on Wednesdays from 3pm - 4pm.
Our goals are to make beautiful art out of cleaned trash and give it away in exchange for donations towards keeping the club going. We accept materials from anyone to make the art. Mrs. Kuhlmann and Ms. Guevara help me run the club.
Our last meeting is on Wednesday December 13th, but we will have a Spring addition with dates TBA.
