Since the establishment of its Community Education Department in 1984, NISD has continued to foster the concept of lifelong learning for all community members.
Dedicated to the idea that the school is the center of the community, campus doors remain open during “non-traditional” hours to offer and encourage patrons the opportunity to enroll in courses for professional development and personal enrichment.
The NISD Community Education Department connects local experts to teach hundreds of classes throughout the year ranging from courses in arts and culture, business and technology, health and wellness, and recreation and leisure.
With over 250 classes in 35 different subject areas, there are classes for all ages and stages of life!
