Stay Connected with Your Northside Schools

At Northside ISD, we believe strong communication between schools and families is essential. While one-on-one communication is always best, it can be challenging in a district as large as ours. That’s why we offer a variety of tools to help parents and community members stay informed about their child’s school and the latest district news.

In addition to phone calls and emails, we encourage families to stay connected through the following platforms:

SchoolMessenger
SchoolMessenger is the District’s primary communication tool, especially during emergencies or active incidents. It delivers important updates via text message, email, and voice calls from both campuses and the District. To receive text alerts and manage your notification preferences, visit go.schoolmessenger.com. Be sure your child’s school has your current phone number and email on file. To update your contact information, contact the attendance secretary at your child’s campus. (If you have multiple children, you only need to update one campus.)

Home Access Center (HAC)
HAC is a secure online portal where parents can monitor grades, attendance, and test results. It also allows families to make payments for meal accounts—all in one convenient place.

Learning Management Systems (LMS)
Northside ISD uses two Learning Management Systems to keep families connected to classroom learning:

• Seesaw (Pre-K–1st grade)
• Schoology (2nd–12th grade)
  With a parent account, you can view assignments, monitor progress, and communicate directly with teachers. If you don’t yet have an account, you can easily create one through your child’s school.

Parent Newsletter
Our district parent newsletter is sent regularly during the school year, sharing important updates and highlighting the outstanding achievements happening across Northside. Make sure your email address is current in HAC or updated with your campus to receive this monthly communication.

Northside ISD Mobile App
Available for Apple and Android devices, the Northside ISD app provides instant access to important information. Customize notifications for your child’s school and receive updates on weather alerts, school closures, menus, grades, bus routes, and more.

Social Media
Follow Northside ISD on Facebook, X (Twitter), and Instagram for real-time updates, announcements, student achievements, and a behind-the-scenes look at school life.

Friends of Northside
This email subscription service delivers weekly newsletters, Board of Trustees meeting summaries, and other important district updates. Sign up to stay informed and engaged.

District and Campus Websites
Visit the Northside ISD website and your child’s campus website for quick access to news, calendars, school menus, bus information, and other helpful resources.

In addition to these districtwide tools, each campus may offer its own communication methods. Be sure to check with your child’s school to learn how they share updates throughout the year.
