French ClubThe French Clubโ€™s mission is to promote multiculturalism in our community through products, practices, and perspectives to help our students become culturally competent in a global world. French Club members will be exposed to and immersed in different kinds of music, dance, food, videos, movies, etc. to experience the French culture and practice the Frenchh language in authentic tasks.

OBJECTIVES:
To promote multiculturalism in our school community and district
To compare my own culture to other cultures in which French is spoken
To provide extended learning experiences in the process of learning French as a second language
To experience the French culture through task-based authentic scenarios

Hispanic National Honor SocietyThe SHH is an honor society for high school students enrolled in Spanish and/or Portuguese, sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese (AATSP). The name was changed to Sociedad Honoraria Hispรกnica in 1959.

UIL AcademicsUIL Academics includes more than 20 academic subjects. Students will work with a teacher and a small number of other students to prepare for academic competitions against other schools. Students can compete individually and as a team at the district competition in March, then have the opportunity to advance to regional and state level competitions. Each academic subject is slightly different, but all students have the opportunity to work as a team, build academic skills, and represent their campus. UIL Ready WritingIn the Ready Writing Contest, the students are given two hours to write expository compositions. They have a choice between two prompts, each an excerpt from literature, publications (past and present) or speeches.
