ATTENDANCE INFORMATION

 

Students who have been absent from school should bring a note to the Attendance Office Window between 8:00am and 8:30am to turn in a parent note.

Students may be subjected to a tardy and/or disciplinary consequences if they do not check in to the front office before 8:30am.

DOCTOR & PARENT NOTES

 

In order to excuse an absence, students need to bring a valid note to the Attendance Office Window.  PLEASE MAKE SURE THE INFORMATION BELOW IS INCLUDED ON THE EXCUSE NOTE:

Students are given up to three (3)  days after the day he/she returns to school to submit the excuse note. If the student goes to a medical appointment, a note from the Doctors office is required upon return to school.

 

Once a parent or doctor note is received, it will be stored in the Student Attendance File.

 

In the event that the student knows in advance about an absence, the Attendance Secretary, Mrs. Buentello, should be notified at 210-397-4911.

 

After a student is absent more than three (3) days, parents may request and pick up work from the Front Office (210-397-4900). The Front Office must be notified one (1) day in advance of when the assignments would like to be picked up. (Teachers have 24 hours to turn in the class assignments to the front office.)

 

ABSENCES/TARDIES WILL BE CONSIDERED EXCUSED IN CASES OF:

 

Personal Illness

Immediate Family Funerals (with documentation from funeral home)

Medical Appointments (with doctor note)

Court Appointments (with a copy of subpoena showing student is required in court)

Church/Religious Trip (with supporting documentation)

Family Emergency (with valid explanation)

ABSENCES/TARDIES WILL BE CONSIDERED UNEXCUSED IN CASES OF:

 

Car Trouble

Missing the Bus

Overslept

Caring for a Family Member

Traffic

Non-Subpoena Court Appointments (student not named on subpoena)

Notes Missing Pertinent Information

Truancy

Vacation (personal or business)

Errands with Parents

PICKING UP STUDENT FROM SCHOOL:

 

On Regular School Days, students WILL NOT be called from class after 3:15 pm, unless an emergency situation exist or a Parent Note is provided to the Attendance Office Window at the beginning of the school day.

 

On Early Release days, students WILL NOT be called from class after 12:00 pm.

 

Parent pick up from the Clinic requires a valid Parent/Doctor note be turned in, upon return to school, at the Attendance Office Window to be considered excused.
