Principal of Sul Ross middle school
Mahntie Reeves - Principal
I am excited to call the Sul Ross Community my home. Me encanta la comunidad de Sul Ross. I believe that it is our job to enliven the innate potential of every child to grow and develop. Our main objective is making sure that all of our students are college ready, whether they be going to a four-year university, two-year university, starting their own business, or going to a trade school. Mi objetivo es el exito de cada uno de nuestros estudiantes aqui en la escuela. This is accomplished through working collaboratively in Professional Learning Communities to design rigorous learning experiences that challenge all students to think and demonstrate deeper understanding of the content that they encounter on a daily basis, as well as, providing multiple extracurricular activities that match their interests.

    LaDonna Tate

As the Academic Dean of Ross Middle School, I oversee our school’s academic programs and support instructional practices that promote high levels of learning for all students. With over 20 years in education, my journey has taken me from San Antonio to California, Virginia, and even across the globe to Japan. Having served as a teacher, instructional coach, and assistant principal, these diverse experiences have reinforced my belief that students succeed best when they feel seen, supported, and challenged.

Born and raised in San Antonio, and a proud graduate of Memorial High School, I feel a special joy in returning home to serve the community that first shaped me. My academic path began at Prairie View A&M University, followed by the University of the Incarnate Word. I later earned my Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Liberty University.

While my studies provided a professional foundation, my heart is rooted in nurturing the vibrant community already thriving here at Ross. I believe in the power of teamwork and open communication. At home, I am a proud military spouse and a mother of two.

My door is always open. I value your partnership and look forward to working together as we help every Rebel reach their full potential.
