WHAT IS INNOVATIVE THINKERS?


A year-long dedicated GT course developed especially for middle
school gifted and talented students.
Designed around district-created curriculum specifically designed to
create opportunities where students are challenged to:


★ think critically

★ explore

★ create

★ develop

★ become independent thinkers and leaders

 

MIDDLE SCHOOL GT COURSES

INNOVATIVE THINKERS 1

 (6th Grade) Units to include Entrepreneurship, Character
Development, STEAM, and Public Speaking/Research Unit

INNOVATIVE THINKERS 2

 (7th Grade) Units to include Character Development,
Leadership, Entrepreneurship, STEAM, and a Research Unit

INNOVATIVE THINKERS 3

(8th Grade) 1.0 HS Credit course; Integration of MAPS
curriculum with additional depth and complexity modules. Units
to include Character Development/Student Leadership,
Entrepreneurship, STEAM, and an Innovative Research
Project; meets HS speech requirement

 


Tax Rate Notice
This year's levy to fund maintenance and operations expenditures exceeds last year's maintenance and operations tax levy.
Northside Independent School District ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR'S TAX RATE.
THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 1.05 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $30.00.
