Kristen Montellano - Principal
I am a proud graduate of NISD’s Marshall High School and UTSA graduate. I have my undergraduate in EC-4, Literacy Masters, and Principal Certification Program. I have been in education since 2005, all in Northside ISD, serving in multiple roles. I have taught 3rd grade, K-5 Reading Specialist, Literacy Instructional Support Teacher for the district and Associate Principal of Brauchle Elementary.
Along with the teachers and staff, my heart is devoted to student success and decisions made are grounded with students at the center. I feel that if our students feel safe, valued and given a variety of learning opportunities they will have a continued love for their education. I will continue to make this a top priority.
A little about myself, I am a wife to my highschool sweetheart and mother of three. On the weekends we love to play outdoors and enjoy time together.

Carrie Gray - Associate Principal

I am a proud product of Northside ISD. I attended Adams Hill Elementary, Zachry Middle School, and Taft High School. After high school, I attended the University of Texas at San Antonio and graduated in December 1997 with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education. I returned to UTSA for my Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and graduated in December 2018. I began my 23rd year in the classroom where I had taught 3rd, 4th & 5th grades at Knowlton Elementary, Burke Elementary, and Ott Elementary before becoming the Administrator Intern at Glenoaks Elementary in October 2020. I became the Associate Principal of Scobee in August 2021.
I am married and have three children that also attend and have graduated from NISD schools.
