Kristen Montellano, Principal of Scobee Elementary
Kristen Montellano - Principal
I am a proud graduate of NISD’s Marshall High School and UTSA graduate. I have my undergraduate in EC-4, Literacy Masters, and Principal Certification Program. I have been in education since 2005, all in Northside ISD, serving in multiple roles. I have taught 3rd grade, K-5 Reading Specialist, Literacy Instructional Support Teacher for the district and Associate Principal of Brauchle Elementary.

Along with the teachers and staff, my heart is devoted to student success and decisions made are grounded with students at the center. I feel that if our students feel safe, valued and given a variety of learning opportunities they will have a continued love for their education. I will continue to make this a top priority.

A little about myself, I am a wife to my highschool sweetheart and mother of three. On the weekends we love to play outdoors and enjoy time together.
Kim Martinez, Associate Principal of Scobee Elementary
Kim Martinez - Associate Principal

The Associate Principal also serves as the Campus Behavior Coordinator. They can be reached by email at kimberly.martinez02@nisd.net or by phone at 210-397-0715.

I am so excited to begin my journey as Associate Principal at Scobee Elementary. I am passionate about serving children and firmly believe in always doing what is best for them. Building meaningful relationships with students and their families is at the heart of my work, and I value partnering with them to support each child’s success.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Education EC–6 and a Master of Education in Administration, both from the University of Houston–Victoria. Prior to my new role, I served in Victoria ISD for 11 years as an elementary teacher, Assistant Principal, and Principal.

A little about me: I am married and a proud mother of four. My husband and I moved to San Antonio to be closer to family, and we have truly fallen in love with this city.
I am looking forward to working with our students and families at Scobee, so please reach out if you ever need to!
