As the vice principal at Straus Middle School, my goal is to create a nurturing environment by building strong relationships with each of our students. My educational background includes over 15 years in ELA as a General Education Teacher. I’ve also been a Reading Specialist, Department Coordinator in English Language Arts, and an Intervention Specialist. I received my Bachelors from the University of Incarnate Word and received my Masters in Reading and Literacy from UTSA. After being in the classroom for so long, I decided to work with all students on campus and went back to school to get my Principal Certification from Lamar University. I love my job and my students! You’ll find that I’m easy to work with and always empathetic to middle school behaviors.
