My name is Jennifer Grimes and I am thrilled to be the librarian for the Valley Hi Woodchucks. I have proudly been serving as an educator since 2000, first as a classroom teacher for 8 years and as a school librarian ever since. In my free time I love spending time with my husband and three children, traveling, watching sports (especially my favorite team...the San Antonio Spurs) and of course reading!
Valley Hi Library Vision and Mission
Library Vision-
The Valley Hi Library will serve as the campus nucleus for exploration, enlightenment and engagement.
Library Mission-
The library will support classroom instruction and student learning by providing relevant, diverse and high interest resources.
Library Visits and Circulation Policy
Library Visits-
All students will visit the library weekly. Pre-K students will enjoy a read-aloud, Kinder-Second grade students will have a weekly lesson/read-aloud and checkout. Third-Fifth grade students will follow an A-B schedule where A weeks are for library related lessons and B weeks are for checkout and Inspiration Station access.
Circulation Policy-
Kinder- Students may check out one book weekly
First & Second- Students may check out two books weekly
Third-Fifth- Students may check out three books every two weeks
All students are welcome to switch out books during open checkout times on the schedule
If a book is lost or damaged, please contact Mrs. Grimes to make arrangements
