Sept 12th Magnet Update

Welcome to our September edition! It has been an incredible start to the school month as our Global Leaders step into real-world challenges, deep technical exploration, and community-building experiences. From solving spy missions at The DoSeum to kicking off Texas' most active middle-school CyberPatriot program and partnering with high school mentors, our rising leaders continue to embody our core mission every day.

New student IDs have been officially distributed campus-wide! To support daily safety compliance and display credentials proudly, official Zachry Magnet lanyards are available for purchase directly in the Magnet office.

📅 Wed, Sept & Thurs, Sept 10 | ⏰ School Hours | 📍 The DoSeum

Our 6th grade Global Leaders put their critical thinking, digital strategy, and team problem-solving skills to the test during "The Spy Among Us" interactive field trip at The DoSeum. 
Serving as official DoSeum Field Agents, students gathered TEKS tokens, cracked STEM challenges, and outsmarted Agent Red Eye across every exhibit.

📅 CyberPatriots - Sept 8 | Model UN - Sept 16 

Our premier extracurricular pathways are officially under way! As Texas' most active middle-school CyberPatriot program and San Antonio's only public middle school Junior Model UN team, these clubs give Global Leaders powerful opportunities to master digital defense and international diplomacy.

📅 Wed, Sept 23 | ⏰ During Lunch | 📍 Zachry & NSITE Campuses

High school alignment took center stage as 30 of our 8th grade Global Leaders applied and will soon connect with high school mentors from NSITE (Northside School of Innovation, Technology, & Entrepreneurship). 

The official mentor list has been finalized, and students are preparing for their first hands-on session to gain real-world industry insight and navigate the high school transition.

Our Advisory Board brought together community leaders, industry experts, and campus partners for our fall meeting. Conversations focused on strategic growth, cybersecurity curriculum alignment, and expanding real-world experiences for our Global Leaders.
