Counseling Services

Mission Statement

In collaboration with parents, staff, and the community, we will positively impact the lives of students by providing comprehensive guidance and counseling services to foster students' academic, social and emotional success.

About Guidance and Counseling

Our guidance and counseling services are an integral part of the general education program, supporting our students in achieving the high quality educational experience they deserve. We provide a comprehensive developmental program addressing the whole child to maximize academic achievement, social and emotional development, and post-secondary college and career readiness. The program consists of the following 4 program components:

Guidance Curriculum

The guidance curriculum component provides skill-based lessons designed to help all of our students develop essential life skills. Guidance lessons are customized to students’ needs. Some topics may include academic success strategies, personal safety/health, and digital citizenship.

Individual Planning

The individual planning component provides guidance to our students in planning, monitoring and managing their own educational, career, social and personal growth. This includes assisting students with setting their academic and personal goals, selection of courses/endorsements, along with college and career exploration.

Responsive Services

The responsive service component provides both individual and small group counseling to our students. The purpose is to intervene with or on behalf of a child whose personal circumstances, concerns or problems are threatening or interfering with their healthy educational, career, social and personal development.

System Support

The system support component indirectly services our students through outreach, consultation, research and professional development to ensure delivery of a high quality guidance program.
